Job Summary: The Oklahoma Office of Attorney General is currently seeking an experienced attorney to serve as an Assistant Attorney General with the Utility Regulation Unit. The Office of Attorney General’s Utility Regulation Unit represents and protects the interests of the state’s utility customers in administrative and civil proceedings affecting utility rates, charges, and terms and conditions of service. The successful candidate will primarily advocate for utility customers in proceedings before the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, including researching, analyzing, and presenting complex financial and legal information at trial and through briefing.
Qualifications: A qualified candidate must be a licensed attorney in the State of Oklahoma with a minimum of two years’ experience in the practice of law with an emphasis on litigation and/or administrative hearings, including discovery, hearings, and preparing written legal briefs. Preference will be given to candidates with a prior background in economics, accounting, and/or finance. Some travel is required. A writing sample must accompany a resume to be considered.
