Assistant Finance Officer

The Oklahoma Office of the Attorney General (OAG) is currently seeking a full-time Assistant Finance Officer for our Administration Division.

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Location: Oklahoma City, OK

Position Summary: The Oklahoma Office of Attorney General is seeking an Assistant Finance Officer who will assist in responsibilities relating to purchasing, accounting, reporting, reconciliation, grant activities, and all other aspects of fiscal management for the Oklahoma Office of Attorney General. Job duties will include (but are not limited to) the following: processing payroll, preparing purchase orders and change orders, and administrating vendor contracts, reviewing and entering expense vouchers and invoices, managing travel reservations, preparing grant requests and subsequent reporting, reconciling various accounts and funds, GAAP reporting and various other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a closely-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and government accounting experience and training is required. Preference may be given to candidates who possess a CPO certification from the Office of Management and Enterprise Services. Strong preference will be given to applicants with knowledge and utilization of the PeopleSoft (Oracle) Financial system and state government accounting procedures. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word is required.
