OKLAHOMA CITY (March 21, 2024) – Attorney General Gentner Drummond approved Oklahoma to join a multi-state coalition and the U.S. Department of Justice today in filing an antitrust lawsuit against Apple for monopolizing smartphone markets.

OKLAHOMA CITY (March 21, 2024) -- A day after encouraging the Oklahoma legislature to pass its own version of Texas’ Senate Bill 4, Attorney General Gentner Drummond has joined a legal brief supporting Texas in its effort to preserve that law.

If successful, Oklahoma and other states will be empowered to declare illegal immigration a state crime and authorize state officials to enforce it. House and Senate leaders already have indicated a willingness to craft similar legislation to protect Oklahoma.

OKLAHOMA CITY (March 20, 2024) – Attorney General Gentner Drummond is urging Oklahoma legislators to act quickly this session to pass a measure allowing state law enforcement to arrest illegal immigrants. Drummond’s request comes a day after the U.S. Supreme Court refused to halt a similar Texas law being challenged by the Biden Administration.

OKLAHOMA CITY (March 15, 2024) – The Office of the Attorney General today added four more counts of embezzlement against Oklahoma contractor Benjamin Moore in Pottawatomie County District Court.

Moore was charged in October with nine counts of felony embezzlement and a pattern of criminal offenses following an investigation by Attorney General Gentner Drummond’s Consumer Protection Unit. Initially, Moore was accused of scamming $85,000 from nine customers for construction projects that were never completed.

OKLAHOMA CITY (March 15, 2024) –Attorney General Gentner Drummond is leading a group of 24 state attorneys general and one state legislature in challenging the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) new methane emissions rule. The coalition has filed a petition in the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit to block the rule.

OKLAHOMA CITY (Mar 14, 2024) -- In the aftermath of recent tragedies in Oklahoma involving incidents of high school bullying, Attorney General Gentner Drummond praised state senators today for approving legislation aimed at preventing severe bullying that can spur a young person’s suicide.

Authored by state Sen. Paul Rosino and state Rep. Steve Bashore, Senate Bill 1100 passed the Senate today on a 38-8 vote.

He commended state legislators for a trio of bills aimed at strengthening openness in government.

OKLAHOMA CITY (March 12, 2024) – Attorney General Gentner Drummond made the following remarks after Gov. Stitt’s veto today of Senate Bill 1196. The measure would have provided an exemption allowing two office-holders – specifically, the executive director of the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture and a member of a governing body of higher education – to simultaneously serve in the Governor’s Cabinet.
