The Oklahoma Office of the Attorney General is currently seeking a full-time  Chief, Assistant Attorney General for our Consumer Protection Unit.

Position Summary:

The Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Unit is responsible for enforcing many state and federal laws that protect consumers against deceptive, unfair and fraudulent business practices, as well as charitable organizations enforcement and antitrust enforcement.  The Consumer Protection Unit regularly reviews, administers, and advises on civil and criminal actions, matters, and cases, and the Chief, Assistant Attorney General must organize, direct and supervise the  Unit.  Among other duties, they will be responsible for assigning, directing and evaluating the work of subordinate attorneys, investigators and support staff in the unit. The successful candidate will have outstanding legal judgment and be able to effectively and professionally research, prepare, analyze and understand complex information and legal issues. This position may require some travel, both within and outside the State.

Qualifications:

Applicants must be a licensed attorney in the State of Oklahoma with a minimum of 5 years in the practice of law. Strong writing and oral advocacy skills are a must.
