Location:  Oklahoma City, OK 

The Oklahoma Office of the Attorney General is currently seeking a full-time Legal Assistant for our Litigation Unit.

Position Summary:

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:  providing legal assistance to multiple attorneys with the preparation of pleadings, briefs, exhibits, correspondence, discovery and court filings.      

Qualifications:

  • In addition to ECF experience, knowledge of state and federal filing procedures and rules are required; 10th Circuit filing procedures and rules are a plus.
  • Applicant must be detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills; excellent spelling and grammar skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Must have the ability to prepare a variety of complex pleadings and correspondence, including Table of Authorities and Indexing, as well as the ability to prioritize workflow and address new priorities as they arise.
  • Heavy litigation experience is preferred, including but not limited to trial preparation; summarizing depositions; organizing and reviewing discovery; managing each attorney’s caseload.
