OKLAHOMA CITY – Attorney General Mike Hunter today released the following statement on the seventeenth observance of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

“September 11 is a day to grieve, remember and pray for the victims who were killed, as well as their families and friends who undoubtedly still suffer greatly from the unthinkable acts of terrorism that shook the entire world.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Attorney General Mike Hunter released the following statement on the passing of United States Senator John McCain.

“Senator John McCain is the embodiment of a true American hero.

“His service to his nation knew no bounds. Whether it was during his distinguished military career, where his admirable service led to his capture and horrific torture as a prisoner of war. Or during his time in the U.S. Senate, where he was an extraordinary leader, who was a champion for all Americans.

TULSA – Attorney General Mike Hunter today charged a former board president of the Down Syndrome Association of Tulsa for allegedly embezzling money from the organization.

Jamie Harper faces 19 counts of embezzlement and one count of engaging in a pattern of criminal offenses after an investigation by the Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Unit.
