NORMAN — Cleveland County Judge Thad Balkman has appointed a judicial master to the Oklahoma Attorney General's lawsuit against several opioid manufacturers. With the decision, disputes involving evidence in the case shouldn’t keep the case from moving forward.

Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter said he wants to continue the fight against opioid abuse and protect public safety, as he seeks a full term as the state’s chief legal and law enforcement officer.
OKLAHOMA CITY – Attorney General Mike Hunter has sent a letter to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), urging the commission, through its authority as the nation’s energy regulator, take action at the wholesale level to ensure all possible corporate tax savings are captured to ultimately result in lower retail utility bills. This will facilitate the orderly transfer of the tax windfall to retail customers.

Report includes recommended changes to state law, rules and policy
OKLAHOMA CITY – Attorney General Mike Hunter and members of the Oklahoma Commission on Opioid Abuse today released their findings and final recommendations for legislation, policy and rule changes to combat the state’s current opioid epidemic.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Attorney General Mike Hunter today commended Cleveland County District Judge Thad Balkman for granting the state’s requested May 2019 trial date for its lawsuit against opioid manufacturers for their role in creating the opioid epidemic.
Oklahoma is the first state in the nation to have a trial date set among the multitude of states across the country suing drug manufacturers.
