Attorney General Hunter Statement on Annual 9/11 Observance

OKLAHOMA CITY – Attorney General Mike Hunter today released the following statement on the seventeenth observance of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

“September 11 is a day to grieve, remember and pray for the victims who were killed, as well as their families and friends who undoubtedly still suffer greatly from the unthinkable acts of terrorism that shook the entire world.

“While we mourn, we must also take time to remember the heroic acts of the first responders, as well as those aboard United Flight 93, whose bravery saved countless lives. Additionally, we must continue to show our appreciation and support for the men and women of the Armed Forces for their service to keep us safe from enemies both foreign and domestic.

“In remembering and honoring the victims and heroes of this tragic day, may we unite, regardless of our differences to stand as one to heal and defy terrorism and those who seek to do our nation harm.”
