OKLAHOMA CITY – Attorney General Mike Hunter today announced the state’s multicounty grand jury issued three indictments on two separate cases involving alleged unlawful prescribing of controlled drugs and an illegal gambling operation.

Dr. Jeri Ellis and Dr. Dennis Roberts, both practicing physicians at Ellis Family Practice in Shawnee, were each charged with one count of unlawful distribution of controlled dangerous substances (CDS).

Federal legislation would give victims more rights

OKLAHOMA CITY – Attorney General Mike Hunter today signed a letter, sent to Congressional leadership, asking members to pass legislation ending mandatory arbitration to strengthen the protection for victims of sexual harassment in the workplace.

ALJ recommends commission deny Wind Catcher project

 

OKLAHOMA CITY – Attorney General Mike Hunter today commended an administrative law judge’s recommendations to deny the pre-approval of Public Service Company of Oklahoma’s (PSO) Wind Catcher project.

In a 136 page report submitted by Judge Mary Candler to the Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC) commissioners, Judge Candler found PSO failed to meet the burden of proof required for pre-approval and cost recovery of the project.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Attorney General Mike Hunter has sent a letter to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), urging the commission, through its authority as the nation’s energy regulator, take action at the wholesale level to ensure all possible corporate tax savings are captured to ultimately result in lower retail utility bills. This will facilitate the orderly transfer of the tax windfall to retail customers.
