OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter today is warning Oklahomans of charity fraud and other scams in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.
Attorney General Hunter said the work of charitable organizations is key to the recovery process after a disaster. However, some see it as an opportunity to run scam operations asking for money the victims never see.
LAWTON – Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter announced his office has filed five felony counts on Randy Wolfe, of Lawton, after an undercover investigation.
Wolfe, 49, has been charged with one count of aggravated possession of child pornography, two counts of distribution of child pornography, one count of child sexual abuse and one count of violating the computer crimes act.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter is reminding Oklahomans the Emergency Price Stabilization Act is in effect for all 77 counties after the disaster emergency declaration announced yesterday.
The price gouging statute prohibits an increase of more than 10 percent for the price of goods and services after a declared emergency. Additionally, the act allows the attorney general to pursue charges against individuals or businesses that engage in price gouging.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter today announced the names of the individuals who will serve on the Oklahoma Commission on Opioid Abuse.
Attorney General Hunter, Gov. Mary Fallin, House Speaker Charles McCall and Senate President Pro Tempore Mike Schulz selected the members of the commission after the passage of Senate Concurrent Resolution 12 in May.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit has filed charges on a mother and daughter who allegedly ran multiple Medicaid fraud schemes from their behavioral health counseling company.
Lexie Batchelor, 59, of Atoka, is charged with three counts of Medicaid fraud and one count of identity theft, and Heather Doss, 43, of Tulsa is charged with one count of Medicaid fraud and one count of identity theft.
