MUSKOGEE – Agents with Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter’s office arrested William Stephens, the owner of Tornado King Shelters, yesterday in Muskogee.

Stephens is currently in the Muskogee County Jail awaiting transfer to Cleveland County, where the charges against him were filed on Monday.

Attorney General Mike Hunter commended the quick action of the agents, who wasted no time tracking Stephens down.

William Stephens charged with seven felony counts of embezzlement

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter today announced the filing of seven felony counts of embezzlement against William Stephens, who owns Tornado King Shelters.

After the Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Unit received multiple complaints of alleged fraud against the Tornado King Shelters company, an investigation was launched into Stephens and his company.

DEA: Oklahoma ranked last in 2016 take back effort

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter is asking Oklahomans to participate in the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) National Prescription Drug Take Back Day this Saturday, April 29.

The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics has set up a location finder on its website for individuals to find the most convenient location to drop off expired or unused prescription drugs.

Commission aims to halt state's opioid epidemic

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter was joined by Sen. AJ Griffin and Rep. Tim Downing today at a press conference to announce legislation to form the Oklahoma Commission on Opioid Abuse.

The commission will be created by Senate Concurrent Resolution 12, authored by Sen. Griffin and Rep. Downing.

Successful operation assisted by AG's Safe Oklahoma Grant Program

OKLAHOMA CITY – Today, Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter commended the Tulsa Police Department and other state and federal law enforcement agencies after a successful operation aimed at reducing violent crime.

The four-day operation arrested dozens of violent criminals, seized weapons, drugs and served a multitude of warrants.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Today, Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter hosted the tenth annual Consumer Protection Day at the Attorney General’s Office to raise awareness about the importance of consumer protection and potential scams.

Attorney General Hunter began the event speaking about the Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Unit and the work being done within the office to protect Oklahomans.

Clever schemes using modern technology give scammers an unfair advantage to prey upon innocent victims.

Whether it’s a scam involving unfair business practices, home repair fraud or an individual who becomes the victim of an online phishing scam, it happens to our neighbors, friends and loved ones. Unfortunately, there is no way to completely prevent fraud from happening.

OKLAHOMA CITY  — Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter has charged a Guthrie man with five felonies for possessing child pornography and violating the state’s Computer Crimes Act.

Enrique Segura, 36, of Guthrie, has been charged with two counts of aggravated possession of child pornography, two counts of possession of child pornography and being in violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.
